Happy Birthday Olivia!

Happy 5th Birthday Darling! It has been an honor and a privilege to have her in our home. I love her so much. Some of my favorite things about her:

She loves to do sneaky clean up surprises. When I hear the words "Don't look yet!" I know she's being busy doing a special surprise either making someones bed, or mopping the floor, or vacuuming, or doing dishes, or washing mirrors or windows and on and on.
She is SOOO helpful with her sister. Whenever Lily wants something and I can't get it as soon as she wants, she'll go to Olivia because she knows "Weevia" will always help her. She will help Lily play and swing and climb and slide. She is an awesome big sister.
She wants to do so much good for everyone. She loves to do crafts and color pictures and then take them to her neighbors. She loves to make them smile.
She is very inquisitive and wants to know lots of detail about everything.
She loves to share things with her friends. Whenever she has candy or balloons or anything special, she likes to hold on to it until she can share some of it with her friends...even if it is a long time away. We are going to grammas house in a few weeks and she is already packing little ziplock baggies of her favorite sugar cereal to take and share with her cousins.

She is a thoughtful, brave and sweet beautiful girl. I love you Olivia!

For her birthday surprise this morning Cory and I colored some pictures and put them on the walls since that is something she always loves to do for other people, especially on their birthdays. One of her new things to color is tracing hers and everyone elses hands and feet. Cory got a bubble machine and we put up a couple of streamers and balloons so that when she came out of her room this morning it would look really festive! It was really cute.

Her present this morning was an MnM kite
THEN! A long time ago when she cut her head at preschool, the firefighters came to clean her up. So now every time we go by that fire station or see the firefighters in the grocery store she says "Those are my firemen!" About a week or so ago we stopped in at the station so that Olivia could say hi. She told them that her birthday was coming up so they told her to come back on her birthday and she could honk the horn and run the sirens. She was really looking forward to it and the day finally came! She wanted her Gramma and Danielle to be on the phone while she did it, so that is who I'm talking to in the video. Cory and I both teared up a little of how special they have made her feel especially today. She and Lily each got a stuffed animal from them as well. It was a very sweet morning.

Oh my goodness, did you get your home decor inspiration from Anne Noble? I took a close look at the wall there and it looks a lot like my kitchen on Lit Way did when I was growing up...you know what I mean!!! Totally made me smile.
