Hair cuts!!!

Olivia has been asking me for the past year if she could have short hair. She has such gorgeous beautiful hair that I have been reluctant to let it go. She has persisted and I finally decided that if that is what she really wants, then she can have it. So we looked online at some pictures of little girls with cancer that don't have any hair and then some pictures of other little girls holding up the hair they donated. Livi got super excited and wanted to send her hair to one of those little girls. She was able to donate 8 inches to the pantene program that accepts a minimum of 8 inches. So after she was done, Lily and I needed a fresher look as well. Lily cut off 5 inches and I cut of 9. WOW!
I wasn't sure how I would feel about Olivias short hair, but I LOVE IT! She is so darling and can be so independant now. She can do a whole entire shower by herself (without me having to rinse out her hair) and brushes it in the morning. She loves it. Lily looks super cute too. Mostly I wanted to cut hers because she has started chewing it. Even the pig tails were long enough for her to pull around and put in her mouth.
It's fun to have such a drastic change. And less hair fights. :)
(Daddy used to try cheering them up when the tears and fits would start from brushing out the hair and say that he was going to send the tangles to time out and then he would take the back of the brush and "spank" the tangles. It worked and the girls would smile. Now we don't have to worry about those anymore!)
