Preschool Graduation!

(I cannot figure out how to make these posts stay together...so be patient with how much space these always take up. I get it all pretty and then when it posts, it adds a billion spaces between things. ugh)

Sweet Lily! Big girl!

Sitting so nicely next to one of her preschool friends. Isn't he darling!?

Her teachers (Miss Julie and Miss Heidi)

Lily, with proud momma and brother. (he was dreaming of proud he was)

This is the cutest kind of graduation ever! Lily looked so cute (except that she would only wear this aristocats THERMAL top instead of a dressed up outfit) but her smile made up for it. She did a great job today, singing the songs, sitting nice and still while her teacher talked and cooperating for pictures. Even though she is going again next year, I still teared up for a minute thinking of how big she is getting and that she is hitting this point already!

Her teachers are amazing! They put so much work into making this a memorable ceremony and compiling all of the work from the year. They even included a CD of all the pictures they took throughout the year and a picture magnet to put on my fridge of my little graduate.

One of the things they did each month was to ask each child what they were thankful for. They gave the list to us at the end of each month but she included the compilation in her memory book. Here are some of the things Lily was thankful for this year:

January 2011 - Ice cream, purple, treats, snowman, Maggie, horses, trees February - My puppy, Maggie, snowman, ice cream, Christmas, spiders, Miss Julie

March - Bugs, Miss Heidi, glue, Miss Julie, cookies, policeman, snowman, bikes

April - Toby, Maggie, Miss Julie, My Dad, bananas, Blayne, dog, Kai

May - Bugs, Miss Heidi, my brudder, John, Kai, Ellie

I am head over heels in love with these little people!!! Olivia has her kindergarten graduation next week. I heard one of the songs they are working on to sing and I started crying. I want them to stay this way so badly so I cry thinking these moments are coming and going way too fast. Cory wrote another song on the guitar for them and the chorus says it exactly! "...I want you to know that I want you to grow, but I wish you could stay, just this way."
